IQALUIT, Nunavut — Stephen Sullivan is the new general manager at The Frobisher Inn. Sullivan started with the hotel in 2010 and has held the title of Food & Beverage manager since 2015.

“I’m excited about the new challenge,” says Sullivan. “I love working at the Frobisher Inn and have tried to balance work with family and community involvement. I look forward to keeping the standards high and will work hard to provide a very warm, welcoming hotel that exceeds our guests’ expectations”.

Sullivan began his hospitality career in 1990 as an assistant manager with Red Lobster Restaurants after graduating from the University of Guelph. He then held the position of director of Hospitality with Fanshawe College Student Union in London, Ont. from 1995 to 2007.

“Mr. Sullivan is a great asset to the Frobisher Inn with his 30-plus years of experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry,” says Atanas Botev, vice-president, Hotels for Nunastar Properties Inc. “Steve exemplifies our core value of community by continually giving back.”

Sullivan has been involved in various charities in the North, such as the Nakasuk Elementary School Arts Program/Fun Days, Iqaluit Food Bank and the Kamatsiaqtut Helpline. “Under Stephen’s passionate stewardship, the hotel will continue to provide guests with memorable experiences and uphold the traditions of which our company is so proud,” says Botev.
