TORONTO — Four Seasons has introduced new mobile innovations, including complimentary in-car Wi-Fi, in-car and in-room iPads and Skype check-in services. The changes come into effect Oct. 1.

“Four Seasons has always anticipated the needs of business travellers,” says Chris Hunsberger, executive vice-president, Product and Innovation at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “As we continue to introduce new innovations, we’re taking that service approach beyond the hotel itself and into our house cars and limos, helping our guests maximize their productivity from the moment they leave the airport – and even while they move around town.”

The company is introducing in-car Wi-Fi to house cars and contracted limo services at its hotel locations worldwide. Some hotels such as Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles Beverly Hills already feature luxury eight-passenger luxury vans equipped with two plasma screens, electrical outlets and unlimited Wi-Fi, allowing groups to conduct meetings on the go. Most hotels will offer complimentary in-room Wi-Fi. Some hotels, including the new Four Seasons Toronto, will have in-room iPads for easier connectivity with hotel’s services and amenities. In addition, new services will allow guests to check in and book restaurant or spa reservations on Skype en route to their hotel.

Meanwhile, the company is considering further innovation, with plans to transform dining spaces, hotel lobbies and the arrival experience so it appeals to today’s tech-savvy travellers.
