MONCTON, N.B. ― The Four Points brand has launched in Moncton with the opening of the 128-room Four Points Moncton.

Owned by Charlottetown-based DP Murphy Hotels and Resorts, the previously independent hotel underwent a $4-million renovation and repositioning. It features 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, casual-dining at Maverick’s Steak House and Grill and a 24-hour fitness centre.

“We are delighted to expand the Four Points footprint in New Brunswick with the opening of our second hotel in the region,” said Brian McGuinness, SVP of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “Offering an honest value, great rates and genuine service, Four Points is leading Starwood’s growth in Canada, where we will reach the 30th hotel milestone later this summer.”

With 50 new hotel deals signed in 2014, the brand will surpass 200 hotels in 2015, with more than 25 planned hotel openings this year.
