EDMONTON — Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the new opening of Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway.

The new hotels feature 154 rooms, guest room workspace, free in-room Internet, free WiFi in public spaces, local craft beer through the brand-wide “Best-Brews” program and five meeting rooms featuring 5,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.

“Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton Gateway brings the promise of consistently genuine service, stylish surroundings, and access to amenities and signature programs, all at an honest value,” said Brian McGuinness, senior vice-president of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. “We believe that Four Points’ contemporary style and ‘best for business’ services and amenities are an excellent fit for travellers to Alberta.”

Starwood plans to open 23 Four Points hotels in 2012.

The new property is owned and managed by Pacific Hospitality.
