ROCKVILLE, Md. — Choice Hotels International has been ranked 72nd out of 100 on the Forbes World’s Most Innovative Growth Companies list.

“Choice Hotels is spearheading the future of the hotel industry on many dynamic fronts, so we are honoured to be named to the Forbes World’s Most Innovative Growth Companies list,” commented Steve Joyce, president and CEO, Choice Hotels International. “We continue to expand aggressively in both the international and upscale markets, and our technology, mobile and digital initiatives are receiving great accolades.”

The hotel company has been making headlines with its international openings in Turkey and China as well as, the domestic expansion of its upscale portfolios. Recently, the company announced the launch of its hands-free hotel reservations for Ford vehicles, whereby drivers can download Choice Hotels’ Android app, and use voice commands to search for and book available rooms at nearby Choice Hotels.

The Forbes’ list was based upon investors’ identification of innovative firms. The only other hotel company on the list was Shanghai Oriental Pearl, which ranked 100th.
