MONTREAL — Group Germain Hotels has unveiled its first hotel under the Alt+ banner with the opening of the Alt+ Hotel Quartier DIX30 in Brossard, Que.

The new hotel is the company’s second within the Quartier DIX30 commercial complex, which is also home to the first Alt Hotel. Alt+ Quartier DIX30 is located in the Square at Quartier DIX30, occupying 11 of 15 floors in a multi-use building that features office space and a restaurant.

The loft-inspired boutique hotel features 115 studio-style guestrooms equipped with a kitchenette, a desk/dining table and exposed wardrobe. It also boasts six versatile meeting spaces totalling 5,000 sq. ft. Designed by Montreal-based LemayMichaud Architecture Design, Alt+ features modern, functional and modular design, which highlights natural materials.

In June, when the hotel celebrates its official opening, it will unveil Bar Les Cousins — a 60-seat venue focused on craft cocktails. The bar will also offer a curated selection of wine and local beer. The space is designed by Quebec-based Atelier Zébulon Perron and features a blend of vintage and contemporary styles, as well as an oval bar and winding banquette.

The hotel lobby offers flexible Mah Jong seating from Roche Bobois, which guests are encouraged to regroup as desired. The reception area features an art installation inspired by tractor tracks left in the Montérégie’s cornfields — the land on which Quartier DIX30 is located today. Alt+ Quartier DIX30 also features a mezzanine designed to offer flexible collaborative workspaces, as well as a place to relax and socialize. The space boasts a hanging plant installation and lots of natural light.

Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour gym, outdoor patio and free heated parking.
