TORONTO — Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Air China are joining forces in a partnership that will provide members of the hotel chain’s guest-recognition program, Fairmont President’s Club, the opportunity to earn airline miles through Air China’s frequent-flyer program, PhoenixMiles.

“It was only a matter of time before we added on a strategic airline partner in this part of the world,” said Ian Wilson, Fairmont’s regional vice-president, Asia Pacific. “We’re very excited to team up with a respected and influential national carrier like Air China and to further diversify our reward offerings for our guests.”

Fairmount already has partnerships with American Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada, Lufthansa, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
