MONTREAL — Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth hotel is celebrating the 50th anniversary of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s famous Bed-in for peace with an exhibition, concert, guided tours and a special couples Bed-in package.

The hotel welcomed the famous couple for a memorable week in 1969, during which John and Yoko protested the Vietnam War and wrote and recorded the song Give Peace a Chance from their bed in suite 1742.

In honour of the couple and their efforts to create awareness for universal peace, the hotel will be hosting celebratory activities starting May 25, with highlights such as a free exhibition of Gerry Deiter’s photos from her coverage of John and Yoko’s protest and a concert at Espace C2 benefitting Amnistie Internationale Canada Fancophone.

A full list of commemorative activities is available at fairmont.com.
