VANCOUVER — Fairmont Pacific Rim is launching a song-search contest, inviting singers and songwriters to submit an original song for the ‘Soundtrack to the Pacific Rim Life.’ The soundtrack will celebrate the hotel’s ongoing commitment to live music ahead of the unveiling of its new dedicated state-of-the-art performance stage at The Lobby Lounge.
“The hotel is contemporary and avant-garde and a playground for art, music and fashion aficionados,” says Jens Moesker, regional vice-president and GM at Fairmont Pacific Rim. “We host some of the city’s most prestigious events, from designer catwalks to art unveilings, and are known for our five-star services, award-winning cocktail and culinary culture. We’re committed to supporting and promoting Canada’s emerging music scene and the song-search contest will offer a wonderful recording opportunity, along with a one-of-a-kind Vancouver experience.”
The contest prize, valued at $50,000, includes round-trip airfare to Vancouver, a 10-night residency at Fairmont Pacific Rim in an exclusive suite, 10 hours of recording-studio time in Vancouver, west-coast excursions, a vlog series, a headline spot on the soundtrack and a $5,000 cash prize.
