CALGARY — Fairmont Hot Springs Resort has named Vivek Sharma as its new CEO. Sharma will succeed interim CEO Tom Tittel, who served for a year as the company searched for a permanent leader.

“Vivek has a wealth of experience managing major resorts and hotels from around the world,” says Tittel. “I’m confident in his ability to guide Fairmont Hot Springs Resort through its continued renovations and deliver the best Rocky Mountain experience for guests.”

With more than 25 years of global and national experience managing hotels, resorts and corporate operational teams of international hospitality brands, Sharma will be instrumental in creating guest-focused initiatives as upgrades to the property commence in 2019.

Sharma previously served in leadership positions at SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, Fox Harb’r Golf Resort & Spa, Sandals Resorts, Hilton Hotels and a variety of international hotels, including the Oberoi Group. Most recently, he served as the GM of the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre in B.C., where he led the company through extensive updates and its transition to an independent hotel.
