TORONTO — Michael Glennie has been appointed president and COO of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI).
“For many years now, Michael has been a prominent member of our senior leadership team and has been instrumental in establishing FRHI as a key player in the luxury hotel market,” said William Fatt, chairman and CEO, FRHI. “His extensive experience, proven track record in driving results and sizeable base of industry relationships are all assets that will help us further strengthen our growing brands and deliver greater value to our owners and other key stakeholders.”
Prior to joining FRHI in 2005, Glennie served as president and CEO of Ripplewood Lodging and the Phoenix Resort company, was president of the Boca Raton Resort & Club, and senior vice-president, Resort Operations for the group. Prior to this appointment, Glennie held the position of president, Real Estate and Development for FRHI and has also served as the company’s executive vice-president, Real Estate.
In his new role Glennie will be responsible for the global operations of the three hotel brands and other entities within the FRHI portfolio.
