TORONTO — The southern coast of Bali, Indonesia will soon be home to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ newest development, the Fairmont Bali, slated to open in 2016.

The resort will feature 170 guestrooms, spa, an 18-hole golf course, as well as an 80-room Raffles Bali, featuring bedroom villas with private pools. Denniston International, a Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based hospitality design firm, is working on the project to help merge local culture into the hotel’s luxury design.

“Our entry into Bali marks the company’s first resort in South East Asia and will provide guests with a rich and beautiful holiday destination in the region,” said Jennifer Fox, president, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.  “Expanding our global footprint is a key brand strategy and this resort will complement our existing hotels such as the recently opened Fairmont Makati in Manila and Fairmont Jaipur as well as the luxurious Fairmont Jakarta which will open in 2015.”
