TORONTO — Drake Hotel Properties announced its first hotel outpost, Drake Devonshire Inn, will open in Wellington, Prince Edward County (P.E.C.), Ont. in early 2013.

The six-room inn, which is being restored into a boutique concept with a “rough-luxe design palette,” will feature Drake-themed dining, with farm-to-fork dishes created by chef Chris Sanderson, and a beverage program, including cocktails and VQA wines from P.E.C.

Its cultural programming will feature local musicians and artists on the venue’s colonial-style lakeside deck.

“We’re so excited to be a part of Drake’s first hotel expansion and putting down roots in this vibrant community,” said Chris Loane, innkeeper. “Guests at the Devonshire Inn will love experiencing Drake’s style of hospitality in a smaller, more intimate setting, especially in such a beautiful part of Canada.”

Currently, there is one Drake property, located on Queen Street West in Toronto.
