TORONTO — Travel + Leisure has named The Drake Devonshire on its recently released “It List: The Best New Hotels 2015,” and the Prince Edward County, Ont., property is the only Canadian contender on the list of 43 hotels across the globe.

The 13-room Drake Devonshire was lauded for its rustic charm, live music, art installations and wine-tasting room. “What an honour that our newest hotel property has been chosen for this prestigious list. After pouring years of hard work and love into the Drake Devonshire, it couldn’t be more rewarding that people are as excited about the property and our cultural offerings as we are. We look forward to welcoming international and Canadian guests for our quickly approaching first high season in Prince Edward County,” said Jeff Stober, founder and CEO, Drake Hotel Properties

Some of the notable inclusions on the list include the 93-room Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam, featuring a hand-carved, Louis XIV–style staircase in the lobby; Cape Weligama in Sri Lanka, with 40 bungalows with private gardens; the design-savvy El Blok in Vieques, Puerto Rico; and the carbon-neutral, five-star Pikaia Lodge in Galápagos Islands, Ecuador.
