BEAUPRÉ, Que. — The Quebec government has committed $6 million to support two projects at the Chateau Mont Sainte-Anne Resort in Beaupré, Que.

Caroline Simard, MLA for Charlevoix-Côte-de-Beaupré and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Tourism announced the support from the Quebec Government and municipal authorities of $4 million for the expansion and modernization of the Mont-Sainte-Anne Convention Center, as well as a grant of $1.9 million from the Quebec Government for the new Aqua-Recreational Center to be located adjacent to the convention centre.

These two major projects are part of the $40-million development plan for the Château Mont-Sainte-Anne Resort, of which $22 million has already been invested. The development plan also includes the renovation of 100 rooms, the modernisation of the front-entrance exterior, lobby, reception area and other common areas.

The new recreational centre will feature outdoor and indoor pools; outdoor/indoor therapeutic baths and water activities; and recreational and exercise facilities.

Construction work for the convention centre will start in the fall and should be completed for spring of 2019. Architects LemayMichaud will be responsible for the design and will manage and monitor the construction work.
