MINNETONKA, Minn. — David Oliver is the new VP of Development for Canada at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. In his new role, Oliver will lead the group’s key strategic-growth initiatives across all brands. He will also be responsible for the development of management contracts and license agreements in Canada. Oliver is stationed in Toronto and will report to Philip Silberstein, executive VP, Development, Americas.

Oliver was previously part of Rezidor’s development team from 2003 to 2009, after which he served as SVP of Asset Management and Capital Planning at Dundee 360 Real Estate Corporation. Oliver has also held development positions with Wyndham Worldwide and Starwood Hotels in Canada.

“David is a passionate industry veteran and we are excited to welcome him back to the team,” says Silberstein. “As one of his key development initiatives, David will focus on the introduction of Radisson RED to Canada.”

Oliver will also be responsible for introducing Radisson Blu to Canada, as well as expanding the footprints of Radisson, Park Inn by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites by Carlson.
