MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnetonka, Minn.-based Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has announced the addition of two new global hotel brands to its portfolio.

“Radisson Red and Quorvus Collection are inspired by Vision 20/20, an evolution of our Ambition 2015 growth strategy,” said Trudy Rautio, president and CEO, Carlson. “Vision 20/20 aspires to elevate the guest experience with innovations in technology, guest service and beyond. These two brand concepts will illustrate that perfectly.”

The new Quorvus Collection will reflect the sensibilities of the global traveller while celebrating the culture of each location. It will include a new generation of luxury, five-star hotels with each property showcasing an individual style, design, heritage, history and architecture.

The new Radisson Red “lifestyle select” brand is intended to offer today’s consumer tomorrow’s hotel experience, with a focus on technology in an upscale, select-service environment. The Radisson Red will have a mobile application for check-in as well as for the ordering of drinks, food, flowers or a taxi through an online concierge.

Radisson Red will launch in 2015, while the Quorvus Collection is expected to launch in Q2 2014. The company plans to add more than 60 Radisson Red hotels and 20 hotels in the Quorvus Collection by 2020.
