PHOENIX — Best Western International is expanding its reach, allowing travellers to reserve hotel rooms on its Facebook page.

“More than ever, Best Western’s customers are integrating social media into every part of their personal and professional lives,” said Dorothy Dowling, Best Western’s senior vice president of Marketing and Sales. “It’s imperative we answer the call from our customers to make it easy to research, book and share travel experiences through their preferred channels.”

Best Western’s new web feature — which, according to the company, is the first of its kind from a global hotel brand —appeals to its 248,000-and-growing Facebook fans.

Best Western launched a Best Western Rewards mobile site last year so Rewards members could manage their profiles, review their balances and redeem points for travel and merchandise from their smartphones.
