EDMONTON, Alta. — The newly refurbished Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel by APA held its grand opening last week.

The full-service hotel features well-appointed and newly renovated rooms that include Electric Bidets (TOTO Washlet), 55″ flat screen TVs and traditional welcoming origami cranes — a symbol of hospitality. These amenities are signature features of the APA Hotel brand in Japan and unique to APA’s urban-style hotel concept.

The 299-room property, which is close to public transportation and provides guests with complimentary shuttle service downtown, offers extensive meeting and event facilities, as well as a day spa and fitness facility with a whirlpool hot tub, steam room and a salt-water pool. The 105th Street Café offers a full breakfast and lunch buffet, while Malt’s Lounge is open for lunch and dinner.

Coast Hotels is a Canadian-based hotel group with 38 branded and managed properties in North America. APA Hotel group is a Japanese-based hotel organization with 372 properties falling under the APA brand.
