CALGARY — Following openings in Calgary and Banff, Alta., Pacini Restaurant opened its newest location at Calgary’s Meadows Mile. Connected to the new Holiday Inn & Suites hotel on Blackfoot Trail South East, this 200-seat restaurant offers breakfast and weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and banquet service.

“As a Canadian restaurant franchisor, we’re proud to bring our authentic Italian concept to Alberta for the third time, in partnership with a new hotel partner,” says Nathalie Lehoux, president, Picini.

The owners of the new Pacini Meadows Mile are Doug, Jon and Ken Sholter from Perfect Hospitality and Sukhminder Rai from PHI Hotel Group.

“We are delighted to partner with Pacini to enhance our hotel with authentic and delicious Italian cuisine, exceptional service, its famous Bread Bar and a unique grocery store, as well as the organization of conferences and banquets,” says Doug Sholter, director of Development for Perfect Hospitality.

The Pacini brand has grown quickly in the Canadian hotel industry. In recent years, it has partnered with the Moose Hotel & Suites in Banff; the Acclaim Hotel near Calgary International Airport; the Marriott Hotel in Mississauga, Ont., which will open early this summer; and in Quebec with the Hotel Universel in Alma, the Hotel Le Navigateur in Rimouski and the Auberge Gouverneur in Shawinigan.

For Pierre Marc Tremblay, the chain’s owner, the new Meadows Mile restaurant is the latest in a focused development process. “For several years, we have incorporated the best practices in food and nutrition. Guests can expect to be completely charmed by our hospitality, service, flavours, menus, atmosphere and design,” he says.
