ROCKVILLE, Ma. — Choice Hotels International, Inc. has appointed Brian Quinn as its new VP of Franchise Development. In his new role, Quinn will be responsible for leading franchise development for Choice brands, including Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Sleep Inn, MainStay Suites and Suburban Extended Stay.

“Brian is a wonderful addition to our exceptional development team and a great asset to our current and potential franchisees,” says David Pepper, chief development officer at Choice Hotels. “His skills and broad experience in real estate and franchise sales, franchise operations, owner relations and hotel operations make him the ideal person to help lead Choice Hotel’s strategic journey of growth and performance.”

Quinn has spent his entire career in the hospitality industry and comes to Choice Hotels from his most recent post as chief franchise officer at Red Lion Hotels Corporation (RLHC), where he launched RLHC’s first nationwide development team and supported the company’s acquisition and integration of Boomerang Hotels and Vantage Hospitality. Prior to his role at RLHC, Quinn held numerous leadership roles in development, franchising and hotel operations with InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton and Driftwood Hospitality Management.

“As we continue the brand transformations of Comfort and Sleep, and capitalize on our unique Sleep-MainStay dual-brand offering, Brian will play an important role in evangelizing these success stories and generating excitement within the development community,” says Anne Smith, VP of Brand Strategy at Choice Hotels.
